Who looks after your data?

Incentively Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 17121895. Registered office: 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. Incentively is the controller of personal information used to operate Pop Quest. This notice covers the Pop Quest game and its administration service. You can contact Incentively about Pop Quest or email hello@incentively.co.uk with privacy questions or requests.

What we use, and why

InformationPurpose and lawful basis
Your quiz name, avatar, account identifier, answers, scores, streaks, chosen interests, and Red Carpet Rush stage name, character and saved progressProvide the games, save progress and apply the preferences you request. Necessary to deliver our service to you.
Session records, request information, security logs and a hashed network identifierKeep accounts secure, prevent abuse and investigate faults. Our legitimate interests in a safe, reliable service. Hosting providers also process connection information such as IP addresses.
Optional usage eventsUnderstand home visits, Place Keys link clicks and notification opens, and inform Extra themes from aggregate interest counts. With usage measurement enabled, we may compare approved reminder wording and count the associated opens, quiz completions and device opt-outs. We use a random delivery reference rather than UTM links. Your consent; off unless you choose it.
Optional learning summaries and notification subscriptionsPersonalise Extras, suggest reminder times and send the reminders you select. Your consent, with separate device permission for notifications.
Messages and details you send usAnswer questions and deal with corrections or privacy requests. Our legitimate interests in helping players, and legal obligations where a request engages your data rights.

You do not have to use an account, optional measurement, AI personalisation or alerts to play. Without the necessary game/session data, we cannot save or run your game. Please do not put sensitive personal information in your quiz name or support messages.

One sign-in. Separate play history.

Place Keys securely handles account sign-in. Pop Quest receives a verified account identifier and display name, not your password. Your quiz history is not automatically published on Place Keys. Creating an account does not subscribe you to another product’s marketing.

Signing out also signs you out of connected sites. Deleting your Pop Quest profile removes its game history and preferences; it does not delete the wider Place Keys account. Manage that account separately through Manage account in your profile.

Quiz profiles, friends and challenges

Public quiz profiles are off by default. If you switch sharing on, anyone with your profile link can see your chosen quiz name, avatar, bio, recent scores, weekly points, streak and follower count. Interests appear only if you separately choose to show them. Email addresses, account identifiers and answer histories are not published.

Following connects your public quiz profiles for a weekly friends table. Daily Quest and Qwerty scores count when earned on their release day, Monday to Sunday in London; Extras, POPCORN and later archive play do not count. Quiz challenge links compare saved first attempts without restarting games. A link you share invites anyone who has it; direct profile challenges are limited to people you follow.

Friends invitations are prepared when you open the Friends or Sharing & friends page. WhatsApp and email buttons open the chosen service with a message and link; you choose the recipients and whether to send it. Copy link copies the invitation address, and supported devices can offer their own share menu. A public, active profile uses your public profile link. Guests and private profiles get a general game link instead; invitations do not switch sharing on or create a follow connection. We do not access your contacts, collect invitation recipients or send these messages for you. Your chosen messaging service handles the message under its own privacy terms. See the Friends guide.

Switching quiz-profile sharing off hides your profile and revokes its quiz challenge links. Red Carpet Rush links work differently, as explained below. Blocking removes follow connections and prevents signed-in interactions between the two profiles; a public profile may still be viewed while signed out. You can report a profile for review. Images or messages already shared outside Pop Quest cannot be recalled by the app. Sharing choices, relationships and reports are included in your Pop Quest export and removed with your Pop Quest profile.

Zoomies by Vet Reviews

Zoomies runs on Pop Quest with the Vet Reviews header and footer. Dog choice, completed levels, personal bests and an unfinished walk are saved on this device. With an account, completed levels and bests sync to Pop Quest; unfinished walks remain on this device. Vet Reviews navigation links take you to VetReviews.uk. Playing does not subscribe you to marketing. Share opens your device share menu or copies your result and the game link; you choose whether to send it.

Game records and administration

We keep session-linked gameplay records for public and private arcade games, including starts, level, score and outcome, to operate scores and understand game completion. Authorised administrators can see these records; private campaign results are not published. These service records contain no new advertising identifier, location or device profile, and are kept for up to 90 days or removed with your Pop Quest profile. Quiz history and your saved personal bests follow the retention described in this notice.

Red Carpet Rush and Arrivals Rush saves

Red Carpet Rush and Arrivals Rush remember your stage name, chosen character and personal bests in separate saves. Red Carpet Rush records completed venues; Arrivals Rush records completed numbered levels. It also saves checkpoints of unfinished runs, including the level, distance, fans, protection and remaining obstacles, so you can resume on the same device. The game saves during play and when paused; Save & leave explicitly saves the current checkpoint.

Guest saves stay in this browser. When you sign in, guest career progress can be merged into your account. Completed career venues, personal bests and your chosen identity then sync across devices; higher bests are kept. Unfinished runs and friend-challenge checkpoints stay on the device where you played. Challenge play does not change career scores or unlock venues.

We use this information to provide the game, saving and account features you request, as necessary to deliver that service. Account saves are private, included in your Pop Quest data export and removed when you delete your Pop Quest profile. Device copies also queue changes while you are offline. Signing out separates your account save from guest play. Clearing site data removes local copies and unsynced changes; it does not erase an existing server-side account save.

Private campaign games

Password-protected campaign games use separate, private personal records. Guest results remain in this browser. Results played while signed in can sync to your Pop Quest account and are included in your data export and profile deletion. Guest results are not automatically added to an account. These scores do not change quiz totals, daily streaks or public profiles.

Device copies remember personal bests, counts and up to ten recent results, plus account results waiting to sync. Device saves have no fixed expiry; clearing site storage removes them. Signed-in records follow the account retention period below. Private game files are not saved by the app’s offline cache. Campaign access is limited to the airline edition unlocked by its password and can expire or be revoked by the hub administrator.

Rush game cards and challenge links

When you use Challenge a friend in Red Carpet Rush or Share my result in Arrivals Rush, the game creates a card and link containing your stage name, chosen character, level, fan total and result, including the percentage reached if you did not finish. This information is sent to our server to produce the image and preview when requested. Creating and serving the card and playable challenge are part of the sharing feature you request. Your account identifier, email address and private career history are not included.

Anyone who receives the link can read that result, view its card, forward it and play the same course without an account. The result is encoded in the URL; it is not encrypted or restricted to named friends. Choose a stage name you are happy to make public and avoid other people’s private information. These are friendly, self-reported challenges, not verified rankings.

Rush game links do not require public quiz-profile sharing to be switched on. They have no automatic expiry or individual revoke control. Changing your stage name, turning quiz-profile sharing off or deleting your account does not invalidate a previously created link. Downloaded or forwarded cards and messages cannot be recalled by Pop Quest. Contact us if a link exposes personal information in error.

Red Carpet Rush’s sharing panel requests the image from Pop Quest; Arrivals Rush requests it when you save a card or a service previews its link. This does not post to a social account. Sending or copying is your choice. If you share through another app, that app or messaging service processes the content under its own terms and privacy notice and may fetch and retain a preview. We do not access your contacts or post automatically.

Optional registration insights

With profile usage measurement and browser analytics enabled, Pop Quest records the account prompt you saw and clicked, the page and game, limited progress such as score or level, your entry page and the referring website when available. We retain the website hostname, not its full URL or query string. A completed sign-in links the prompt to your member profile; the shared identity provider confirms account creation time and origin when available so existing sign-ins are not reported as new accounts. These details are not sent to Google Analytics. Prompt events last up to 90 days; your first attributed connection remains with the profile until you turn measurement off or delete your profile. Both are included in your export. No attribution is guessed for earlier registrations.

Optional quiz insights

When Help us improve Pop Quest is enabled in My profile and this browser’s Analytics choices are on, we record broad country, device, operating system, browser, display mode and which experience you play in alongside saved quiz progress. Country is an approximate network location, looked up locally using DB-IP Country Lite. We do not send your network address to DB-IP or store raw IP addresses or precise locations in the insights report. These optional records are retained for up to 90 days and are included in your export. Turning the profile measurement setting off or deleting your profile removes them. Older games are not assigned guessed audience information. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics is on by default unless you turn it off in this browser. It measures visits and quiz starts and completions, including whether you play in Pop Quest or Place Keys. It receives device and usage information and uses cookies with a configured lifetime of 90 days. We do not send your name, email, account ID or answers. Turn it off or on through Analytics choices on game, home and results screens. Turning it off does not affect gameplay or saved scores. This is separate from the first-party measurement preference in My profile. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing, international transfers and retention.

AI, with a choice

OpenAI helps draft and check the shared quizzes using quiz topics, questions and source information. Player profiles are not included in quiz-generation prompts. AI can make mistakes: you can report an answer for review.

If you enable Personalise my Extras, OpenAI receives a limited summary of your category results, selected non-sensitive topics and broad play hours. Names, email addresses, account identifiers, push endpoints and individual typed answers are not included. These summaries are still treated as personal information; removing direct identifiers does not guarantee anonymity.

Learning starts after at least three completed multiple-choice games played after your opt-in. Recommendations rank available Extras; the shared Daily Quest and Qwerty stay the same for everyone. Politics interests are not sent to the personalisation model. The service does not infer political beliefs or other sensitive traits.

Learn my reminder time is a separate choice. It suggests a morning hour from play patterns, rather than guaranteeing an optimal time. Turn personalisation off in My profile to clear the learned profile; your scores remain. A separate, off-by-default Learn from my notification responses choice lets Pop Quest use recent reminder opens and subsequent quiz completions to favour approved wording and matching published Extras. It requires personalisation and usage measurement. This response learning runs locally on our backend, without an additional OpenAI request. Turning it off resets its learning baseline; turning usage measurement off also deletes its measured notification records. Notifications remain subject to your selected types and existing limits. These recommendations do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Reminders and your controls

Notifications need both a Pop Quest preference and permission on your device. Daily reminders are for players with a core game still to play. Extras have a separate opt-in and a limit of one additional reminder per day. Rivalry reminders have a separate opt-in: at most two attempts per week, at least 24 hours apart, between 5pm and 7pm London, only when a followed player is within reach and you have a daily game left. These use actual scores, not AI-generated claims. Quiet hours are 9pm–8am London time. Delivery also depends on your browser, operating system and network.

Change choices in My profile. You can stop this device’s subscription or revoke browser permission. Turning off a choice does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on that choice. No advertising trackers are included in this app.

Service providers and international processing

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, supports the website and database. Place Keys handles account sign-in. OpenAI processes the quiz and opted-in recommendation inputs described above. Your browser’s push provider (for example Apple, Google or Mozilla) routes enabled notifications. Relevant support and security providers may process information needed for those services. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect people or the service.

Providers can process information in countries outside the UK. Overseas processing requires a valid UK transfer mechanism, such as adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact Incentively about Pop Quest or email hello@incentively.co.uk to ask which locations and safeguards apply to your information or request a copy of applicable safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

How long information stays

  • Game sessions last up to 30 days and renew when you return. Connections to your Place Keys sign-in last up to 14 days. Temporary sign-in checks last 10 minutes.
  • Optional usage events and operational audit records are scheduled for removal after 90 days. Switching usage measurement off also clears your recorded optional events.
  • Inactive guest profiles with no live session become eligible for removal after 90 days without activity. Registered game history remains while you keep your profile, unless you request deletion or another retention duty applies.
  • Red Carpet Rush device saves have no fixed expiry and remain until replaced, removed by the game or cleared by you or your browser. A completed or failed run clears its unfinished checkpoint; career and challenge checkpoints are kept separately. Account career records follow the registered-profile retention above.
  • Red Carpet Rush share images are generated from the result in the link. Our temporary image cache is replaced as new cards are generated or the server restarts; it is not a permanent account record. Browser and intermediary caches may keep an image for up to one day under our cache setting. A still-valid link can generate it again. Recipients and messaging services can retain their own copies for longer.
  • Turning personalisation off clears the learned profile. Device subscriptions remain until you disable them, delete your profile, or the push provider reports an expired endpoint. Finished notification-delivery records become eligible for removal after 30 days.

These are the app’s configured cleanup periods; removal is performed by scheduled maintenance. Hosting logs, support correspondence, provider records and backup copies have separate retention determined by recovery needs, security, the nature of a request and legal duties. Contact us for the applicable period. A deletion may not immediately remove an existing recovery backup.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy where applicable, and object where processing relies on legitimate interests. You can withdraw optional consent at any time. Some rights depend on the reason information is held.

My profile → Privacy & data provides a Pop Quest export and deletion control. You can also contact Incentively about Pop Quest or email hello@incentively.co.uk. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. We normally respond within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the chance to help.

Younger players and updates

Pop Quest is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help you understand these choices. Optional AI personalisation, first-party usage measurement and alerts are off by default. The separate Google Analytics setting is described above. If you believe a child’s information has been provided inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate.

We update this notice when the service changes and explain material changes where appropriate. The date above identifies this version.
